It's so eggciting!

Today was day 9 of incubation for the chicken eggs donated to our class from Teigan's family. So it was perfect timing to "candle" them with the class and see the chicks kicking around inside. What a great opportunity for so many children who haven't had a chance to experience. Now we just need to wait until hatch day!

Me Bags

Here are a few photos of the students who have completed their Me Bags. We all loved learning about each other and sharing what is special about each one of us.

The village is on the move!

As a part of our noun and verb word study we walked down to the village with Room 6 to see what was on the move. This was a great opportunity to learn how to take notes and use our senses to find things that were on the move. It wasn't just people and cars...we also felt the wind moving our clothes and hair.

Bean there, done that

As a part of our measurement unit we had a go at growing some beans in recycled CD cases with the aim of measuring the growth along with learning about plants and seeds. However, our little experiment went a bit mouldy and we'll need to try it again with some drier beans! But we also know that mistakes is how we learn!
